Até o momento, o único vestido ecologicamente correto usado no Oscar, foi o Lanvin de Mery Streep. A notícia saiu na Vogue Britânica e no Ecouterre.

De acordo com com Livia Firth,

The gown is gold, full-length and made from eco-certified fabric sourced with help from the GCC.

O ator Kenneth Branagh (My Week With Marilyn) usou um terno com lã de Merino (um tipo de ovelha que produz umas das lãs mais sofisticadas e macias), de Emernegildo Zegna.
